Bwala made the remarks during an interview on Arise Television interview, where he was asked to react to the video and the current state of the power sector under the administration.

He said the president’s statement should be assessed within the context of his ongoing first term, rather than expectations tied to a future election cycle.

According to him, the administration has already taken steps to improve electricity supply, including policy reforms and legislative measures aimed at strengthening the sector.

Bwala argued that these interventions show that progress is ongoing, and that it is too early to judge the outcome of long-term power sector reforms.

He maintained that President Bola Tinubu is still in his first term and has not yet reached the stage where Nigerians will make decisions about re-election.

He added that the focus should remain on evaluating what has been achieved so far and what will still be delivered before the end of the current tenure.

Bwala said Nigerians will eventually assess the administration’s performance when the time for re-election comes, and decide whether the president has met expectations.
