The mother of one clarified that the statement never came from her and should not be attributed to her.

The controversy arose on January 30, 2026, after a screenshot circulated on (formerly Twitter), suggesting that Priscilla had said she did not experience postpartum depression and that the condition was tied to financial status.

Responding on her Instagram story, Priscilla firmly rejected the claim and challenged those sharing it to provide evidence. She emphasized that the statement was false and misrepresented her views.

Describing the allegation as hurtful and disrespectful, she highlighted the insensitivity of linking postpartum depression to poverty. She wrote:
“I never said this. What’s wrong with Twitter people? Be ready to provide evidence!! What do you mean I said, ‘postpartum is an illusion caused by poverty’? Insulting to mothers, very insensitive.”

Health experts note that postpartum depression is a medical mental health condition that can affect women from all backgrounds, regardless of wealth or social status, and often requires medical or emotional support.

Priscilla, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, welcomed her first child in 2025 and has shared that she received strong family support after childbirth. She has consistently stated that postpartum depression is real and has never claimed otherwise.
