Chaos In Zamfara: Lawmaker Brutally Beaten By Angry Mob In Sh*cking Video

According to reports, residents dragged the lawmaker to the ground and beat him, expressing frustration over what they described as his “poor performance” since assuming office.

In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, the lawmaker was seen being slapped and manhandled by the mob, while some security operatives struggled to protect him as he was pulled in different directions.

The crowd could be heard chanting “bamayi” — a Hausa phrase meaning rejection or disapproval — as they vented their anger at the representative.

Locals claimed the attack stemmed from long-standing grievances, alleging that the lawmaker had neglected the community after his election, ignoring repeated appeals for development, empowerment programs, and constituency engagement.

Security personnel eventually subdued the attackers, evacuating the visibly shaken lawmaker into a waiting vehicle and escorting him from the scene.

As of this report, the identity of the lawmaker has not been officially confirmed, and neither the Nigeria Police Force nor the House of Representatives has issued a formal statement on the incident.
