In a statement issued on December 7, 2025, in Ijebu-Ode, the head of the family, Otunba Prince Akinola Odedina, stated that there is no traceable relationship between the entertainer and the royal house through historical records, oral tradition, or documented genealogy.

The statement, titled “Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Anifowose (MON)”, was released to address the widespread public attention sparked by KWAM 1’s interest in the royal stool and his assertion of belonging to the Jadiara lineage.

“I state categorically that Wasiu has no genealogical ties with the Jadiara Royal House. We have patiently awaited his submission of relevant documents to substantiate his claims of origin, but he has not appeared before the family,” Odedina stated.

Copies of the statement were circulated to key government institutions, including the Office of the Governor, the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and the Awujale Interregnum Administration Council.

The Jadiara Royal House further cautioned the leadership of the Fusengbuwa Ruling Family against recognizing KWAM 1’s eligibility to the throne or associating him with the family in any official capacity.
