Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, the illustrious flagbearer of the Labour Party, shortly after inaugurating the official campaign office in Etsako West, embarked on his spirited campaign tour across Edo North. Thus far, this journey has led him to immerse himself in the rich tapestry of culture, tradition, and religion spanning across numerous wards, communities, and local governments in the region.

Akpata’s strategic visit to the Northern region of Edo State was a pivotal moment as he unveiled his vision for a government that truly prioritizes the needs and aspirations of the people. In a viral video, Akpata made a bold statement during his visit to the Ogieaga of III Ibie Clan:

“Before addressing issues like poverty or deficiencies, we must first address the erosion of values. Any effective government must collaborate closely with our esteemed traditional institutions.”

At Itsukwi, Akpata passionately conveyed his vision to the residents, stating:

“Pesin wey don dey one thing for twenty-five years, you think say e go change? Labour party don come now, our man de for Abia e don do am one year, we dey tell una for Edo State, if you vote Labour Party, we go bring primary health care centre to every word, nor be ward 9 be this? ward 9 go get e own primary health care centre.”
