Voter turnout was notably low at Polling Unit 007 in Lugbe, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as of 10:10 a.m., with only a handful of residents present despite the start of the electoral process.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
An election official informed party agents and voters at the unit that more than 8,000 individuals are registered to vote there. However, the polling area remained largely empty, with security personnel and electoral officials visibly outnumbering voters.
Meanwhile, allegations of voter inducement emerged at the polling station. Some individuals claimed that party agents had gathered in a corner of the premises and were allegedly attempting to influence voters’ choices.
These allegations had not been independently confirmed at the time this report was filed.
One voter, who identified himself simply as Yaro, told journalists that although it was his first time voting, he had expected to receive something before casting his ballot. Similar comments were reportedly made by several other young people at the polling unit.
