In a statement released on Tuesday, the former Minister of Defence expressed deep sorrow over the incident, which led to the loss of innocent lives. The explosions, which happened between about 6:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., were heard across several parts of the city, sparking fear and panic among residents.

The Nigeria Police Force later confirmed that 23 people were killed and 108 others injured in what authorities described as coordinated suicide attacks carried out in different locations within the city.

Reacting to the development, Kwankwaso urged the government and security agencies to take firm and decisive steps against those responsible. He also extended his condolences to the families of the victims and called for increased support and resources to help security forces tackle terrorism effectively.

He noted that the attacks signal a troubling resurgence of violence in the region and warned against complacency, stressing the need for proactive measures to protect communities.
