Shaibu briefed the former leaders and the state government on ongoing initiatives to strengthen training, doctrine, and operational readiness across Army formations. He highlighted exercises conducted in Army training institutions to provide practical, mission-oriented training, evaluate combat unit readiness, and identify gaps requiring additional troops or new formations.

He stated, “We are consolidating all available resources and leveraging technology to address security challenges effectively. Niger State holds a special place in our history; I have previously served here as Training and Doctrine Commander, and many of my colleagues share a deep connection with this state. It is, in many ways, regarded as home.”

Colonel Anele added that Shaibu’s operational visits to the 31st, 11th, and 18th Brigades in Bida focused on assessing operational gaps and supplying resources to curb insecurity in the state.
