Ayo Labinjoh, who claims to be the mother of one of Afrobeats star Davido’s children, has expressed disappointment that Ovation publisher Dele Momodu has refused to step into her ongoing DNA dispute with the singer, despite his close ties to the Adeleke family.
In a post shared via her daughter Anu Adeleke’s Instagram page, Labinjoh again alleged that the DNA test conducted on the child was manipulated and not authentic.
She also criticised media personality Daddy Freeze for publicly stating that Anu is not Davido’s biological daughter, accusing him of helping to protect the singer’s image rather than pushing for an independent DNA test.
Labinjoh lamented that Momodu, whom she described as an uncle to Davido’s daughter Imade Adeleke, has remained silent and declined to intervene, even though Imade herself was previously involved in a DNA dispute.
According to her, attempts by her daughter to speak out were met with insults, bullying and threats, despite promises that multiple DNA test results would be released to the public.
She further claimed that only she and Davido know the truth about their relationship in early 2013, insisting that the singer had financial dealings with her around the time of the child’s naming ceremony and made attempts to contact her years later.
Labinjoh accused Davido of abandoning the child and questioned his motives for reaching out, suggesting it may be connected to renewed public attention surrounding the matter.
She concluded by listing dates of various DNA tests involving Davido’s children, reaffirming her belief that the truth will eventually come to light and stating that her faith remains in God as the dispute continues.
