Hardship Is Temporary” – Kashim Shettima Assures Nigerians Amid Economic Struggles

Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians that the current economic and security challenges facing the country are temporary, expressing confidence that better days lie ahead.

He gave the assurance in his Easter message released on Sunday through his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, in Abuja.

The Vice-President reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to promoting peace, driving economic recovery, and ensuring long-term prosperity.

He acknowledged that Nigerians have been going through difficult times but noted that the nation has never been defined by hardship.

Shettima expressed optimism that with collective effort, sacrifice, and faith, the country would overcome its present challenges.

He urged citizens to remain united and to continue supporting the ongoing reforms under the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasising that national progress requires patience, resilience, and a shared sense of purpose.

The Vice-President also warned against divisiveness, calling on Nigerians to embrace unity and national cohesion.

According to him, the country’s diversity is one of its greatest strengths and should be used to promote unity and development.

He encouraged citizens to reject anything that could divide them and instead work together for the common good.

Reflecting on the Easter celebration, Shettima described the season as a time that symbolises sacrifice, hope, and renewal.

He noted that the Christian message of Easter serves as a reminder that difficult periods do not last forever.

He added that Easter represents light overcoming darkness, hope rising from despair, and faith prevailing over fear.

Shettima concluded by expressing confidence that Nigeria will emerge stronger from its current challenges through unity, resilience, and collective effort.
