A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mohammed Jamo, has expressed his desire to bring former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso back into the ruling party from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Jamo made this known on Monday during an appearance on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.

He stated that, if given the opportunity, he would work towards persuading Kwankwaso to return to the APC.

According to him, the party is open to welcoming all political figures, regardless of their influence or background, including Kwankwaso.

He said he would personally make efforts to convince the former governor to leave the ADC and rejoin the APC.

Jamo’s comments come amid ongoing political realignments following Kwankwaso’s recent defection to the ADC.

A large crowd gathered in Kano on Monday to witness the former governor formally join the party, where he was presented with his membership card.

The event was attended by prominent ADC figures, including David Mark, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, John Odigie-Oyegun, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi.

Kwankwaso’s move to the ADC followed his resignation from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) a day earlier.

He explained that his decision was influenced by the need for a strategic political realignment in response to the evolving political landscape in Nigeria.
