A video featuring Jennifer and actress Mercy Johnson attending an event surfaced on , prompting reactions from fans. While many praised Jennifer for looking elegant, a netizen named Obiasogu David left a remark suggesting she had moved on too quickly, barely a year after losing her husband and raising their three sons. He also warned men to avoid dying young.
The netizen wrote:
“She’s looking so stunning, casually handling an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and looking like she’s already moved on, barely 1 year after losing her husband and bearing the burden of raising three kid-boys.
Dear men, do whatever you can not to die young, especially after newly marrying.”
Toolz responded, expressing her disagreement with the comment:
“‘Barely a year’ is actually 20 months. She should lock herself away and mourn forever? When it wouldn’t be unusual in this country for a man to have another wife within the same one year.”
Jnr Pope tragically died in a boat accident while traveling to a movie set, leaving behind his wife and three sons.
