Makinde Lied To The Public” – Wike Debunks Claim On PDP-Tinubu Arrangement

Speaking during a media parley on Monday, Wike stated that no such meeting with President Tinubu ever took place where he made any such commitment.

Makinde, in a recent press conference in Ibadan, Oyo State, had suggested that people should be free to make their own political choices and that Wike cannot dictate who others support. He also claimed that during a meeting with Wike, Tinubu, and a few others, Wike allegedly declared he would “hold the PDP” for Tinubu in 2027—an assertion Makinde said shocked him and one he refused to be part of.

Wike, however, has firmly refuted the allegation, emphasizing that Makinde has never directly contacted him to make such claims.
