Happy 65th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!

On this historic October 1st, I join millions of Nigerians at home and abroad to celebrate our nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary. Today is not just a commemoration of our freedom, but also a reaffirmation of our collective resilience, unity, and unwavering hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Renewed Hope Agenda is no longer just a promise — it is becoming our lived reality. From economic reforms that are stabilising our financial system, to policies that are driving infrastructure, agriculture, and industrial growth, Nigerians are beginning to feel the tangible impact of these bold steps. Yes, the journey has had its sacrifices, but today, the fruits of those reforms are emerging — restoring confidence, creating opportunities, and rekindling optimism across the nation.

As Minister of Regional Development, I am proud to serve in an administration that places grassroots empowerment and regional balance at the heart of national progress. Through the new Regional Development Commissions, we are laying strong foundations for inclusive growth — ensuring that no region, community, or citizen is left behind in this unfolding story of renewal.

At 65, our nation stands taller, stronger, and more determined than ever before. Together, with unity of purpose and shared responsibility, we will build a Nigeria where prosperity is not just a dream but a daily experience.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!
May God bless our people, our President, and our beloved nation.

Hon. Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE
Minister of Regional Development
