In a video shared on his Instagram page, the Legbegbe crooner expressed concern over the rising level of violence in Nigeria, while also criticising fellow artistes and fans for continuing to drop songs and attend clubs despite the situation.
He accused some industry colleagues of being insensitive, questioning how they are able to promote entertainment while people are losing their lives daily.
According to him, the country’s security crisis has made it difficult for him to focus creatively.
Mr Real said: “I wake up to terrible news every day. I am even scared to drop songs because of the terrible things happening in Nigeria. Artists who are releasing songs are trying because I don’t know the kind of mind they have. How do some artists do it?
“This country is burning. People are dying. Some individuals have turned insecurity into business and we still go to club. That is the problem.
“You can argue that you have your own life to live. I also can’t deny that I don’t club or enjoy my life. But can’t you see that it is not normal? It is like we are under a spell to be docile no matter how worse things get. Is it normal?”
