Nigeria Set To Make Bold Climate Statement As Engr. Abubakar Momoh Leads Strategic Side Event At COP30

Nigeria is poised to take centre stage at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, as the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, prepares to host a high-level side event on Tuesday, 18th November 2025.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The session, scheduled to hold at the Nigeria Pavilion, is themed “Driving Investment for the Integrated Climate Action Plan (ICLAP-MRD) 2025–2030.” It is designed to spotlight Nigeria’s renewed commitment to climate-resilient regional development and attract global partnerships ahead of the Ministry’s long-term climate action rollout.

Engr. Momoh is expected to outline a forward-looking strategy that aligns regional development with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda—focusing on clean energy access, climate-smart infrastructure, flood and erosion control, sustainable livelihoods and strengthened environmental governance across the Regional Development Commissions.

Tomorrow’s engagement positions the Ministry of Regional Development as a critical driver of Nigeria’s climate transition. Under Engr. Momoh’s leadership, the Ministry is pushing for deeper investment, stronger collaborations and practical regional interventions that will anchor Nigeria’s climate resilience agenda from 2025 to 2030
