According to sources within the police, Pastor Idowu, known for his “Next Level Prayer Conference,” is under investigation for his connection to a real estate scam. A police insider revealed, “Pastor Bolaji Idowu has been detained and is undergoing questioning in Abuja about his role in real estate fraud and money laundering.”

Top FCID sources confirmed to SaharaReporters that Pastor Idowu will remain in police custody overnight. The investigation has revealed that several billions of naira linked to the fraudulent scheme were traced to the pastor’s church account, as well as his personal account.

The investigation reportedly stems from the actions of one of Idowu’s pastors, who allegedly defrauded numerous people in a real estate deal. “The police investigation showed that large sums of money from the scheme were first transferred to Pastor Bolaji’s church account and later to his personal account,” said one source.

Pastor Idowu founded Harvesters International Christian Center in December 2003, and the church has since grown to have a significant presence in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The church claims to attract over 70,000 worshippers both in-person and online.
