The Lagos-based designer revealed that her husband, Femi Atere, is not allowed to have a female best friend, as she believes she should remain the closest woman in his life. Veekee explained that this rule helps maintain harmony in their home. She stated, “Femi Atere can never have a female best friend, and even if he did, I’d occupy that space entirely myself.”

Veekee also reflected on past online controversies, noting that she faced harsh criticism for allegedly “taking Femi from someone else.” She admitted that the online backlash affected her mental health at the time, but she eventually moved past it.

Veekee and Femi got engaged in late 2023 and tied the knot on February 10, 2024, celebrating their first wedding anniversary earlier this year.
