Popular Nollywood filmmaker and actor, Stanley Ontop, has claimed that there are fresh plans underway to re-arrest his colleague, actress Angela Okorie, shortly after her release from custody.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Angela was recently taken into custody and remanded at Suleja Prison over allegations of defaming fellow actress, Mercy Johnson. Although the Federal High Court in Abuja granted her bail last Friday, she has remained behind bars due to a delay in completing her bail conditions.
In a social media post shared on Tuesday, Stanley announced that Angela is expected to regain her freedom soon, explaining that the delay was caused by the late verification of her surety’s residential address. He added that the court has now approved her release.
Stanley further revealed that he received information about a new petition filed against Angela and claimed that police officers have been positioned outside Suleja Prison, allegedly waiting to arrest her again immediately after she is freed.
Condemning what he described as unprofessional conduct by the police, Stanley urged authorities to ensure Angela’s safety, stressing that nothing must happen to her upon release.
