Ola Of Lagos Reveals What He Did After Receiving His First ₦2M From Tunde Ednut
Nigerian luxury influencer Ola of Lagos, whose real name is Waris Olayinka Akinwande Osunkoya, has opened up about receiving his first major financial breakthrough from popular blogger Tunde Ednut.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Ola of Lagos made the revelation during a recent interview on the KK Show, where he recounted how he earned his first ₦2 million during Tunde Ednut’s livestream in 2021.
The influencer described the experience as unforgettable, explaining that it was the first time he had seen such a huge amount of money in his bank account. According to him, the sudden increase in his account balance overwhelmed him to the extent that he ran away from his house.
Ola of Lagos further disclosed that the following day, he went as far as hiring bouncers because of the substantial amount of money he had received.
Reflecting on the experience, he noted that despite receiving the unexpected financial boost, he did not squander all the money.
Ola of Lagos rose to prominence from humble beginnings after moving from Ogun State to Lagos, where he reportedly worked as a labourer and later as a cleaner in areas including Ikoyi and Lekki. At the time, he was earning as little as ₦17,000 monthly.
He later began recording and reviewing exotic cars with his mobile phone, sharing energetic videos filled with his distinctive expressions and slang on social media.
His consistency eventually attracted the attention of Tunde Ednut, who reposted some of his videos and helped expose his content to a wider audience.
The exposure contributed to Ola of Lagos’ growing popularity and eventual emergence as one of Nigeria’s recognised luxury and automobile influencers.
