Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has formally distanced himself from a statement circulating across social media that purports to explain a trending video clip showing a male and female inside an aircraft, insisting that neither the statement nor the narrative attached to it originated from him.

In a disclaimer issued on Thursday, the former Edo State governor made it clear that he has not released any comment or justification concerning the controversial clip, which independent assessments have reportedly identified as AI-generated. According to the statement, any message being attributed to the senator in connection with the footage is false, misleading, and unauthorized.

The clarification, signed by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Victor Oshioke, warned against the growing spread of misinformation and urged bloggers, broadcasters, commentators, and digital content creators to exercise professional restraint and verification before amplifying unconfirmed materials.

The statement further emphasized that Senator Oshiomhole would not succumb to blackmail, reputational attacks, or coordinated disinformation, reaffirming his continued focus on legislative service and advocacy for the people of Edo North and Nigerians at large.
