Adeleke emphasized his administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that foster the university’s growth. Acknowledging the challenges workers face due to the removal of fuel subsidies, he assured them that his government would do everything possible to ease the impact on public sector employees.

“We have backed the university’s construction of an ultra-modern Anatomy Complex, which we commissioned today. Additionally, we are prioritizing road construction to improve access to the student areas at Sasha Market and other university campuses,” he stated.

Adeleke highlighted that his administration had promptly paid a year’s worth of arrears to staff and provided palliative allowances. He confirmed that they are actively working on the modalities for implementing the newly approved minimum wage.

He encouraged both staff and students to remain dedicated to their responsibilities and to contribute positively to the nation. “The progress of this institution relies on a peaceful and harmonious environment. We must avoid unnecessary conflicts and focus on our common goal of advancing this great university,” Adeleke urged.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Clement Adebooye, noted the university’s steady growth and expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their commitment to its development.
