Peter Obi, Kwankwaso Lead Massive ‘Save Democracy’ Protest In Viral Video

Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have joined the ongoing “Save Democracy” protest.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The two politicians are currently at Maitama Roundabout in Abuja, where the demonstration is taking place.

Earlier, Obi announced the protest via his account on Wednesday, urging Nigerians to come out and defend the country’s democratic system.

He explained that members and leaders of the ADC, alongside other concerned Nigerians, organised the protest to resist what they described as growing threats to democracy in the country.

Obi also stressed that the opposition coalition would not accept a one-party system.

He said, “We, members and leaders of the ADC and other well-meaning Nigerians, lovers of democracy, are saying that our democracy must not be killed.

“We say no to a one-party system, and for that reason, today we are calling on Nigerians who believe in unity, peace and the security of our country to join us as we defend democracy in our land.”

A flyer circulating ahead of the protest read: “SAVE DEMOCRACY PROTEST! Defend our freedom, protect our vote! Save our democracy. You are welcome, Maitama Roundabout, Abuja. Your vote matters.”
