Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has accused his colleague Damilola Adekoya, also called Princess, of orchestrating a setup that led to his imprisonment at Kirikiri Prison.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Princess had, in 2021, accused Baba Ijesha of sexually assaulting her 14-year-old foster daughter at her home. Baba Ijesha served a five-year sentence in Lagos State and was released in November 2025.

Speaking publicly for the first time after his release in a viral music video, the actor described Princess as “a devil,” claiming she instructed others to silence him and prevent his side of the story from being heard.

Insisting that he was framed, Baba Ijesha warned fans about the dangers of misplaced trust, saying, “My trust was betrayed, and I ended up in Kirikiri prison because of a woman. She told them to silence me so that my voice would not be heard. This is my side of the story.”

He recounted the events of April 21, 2021, saying Princess invited him to her home with the pretense of preparing his favorite meal—pounded yam, egusi soup, and bush meat. She had also promised him a new acting opportunity, asking him to play a younger role in a supposed movie.

“When I got to her house, I met other people there. While waiting, I began rehearsing as instructed by the supposed director, unaware it was all a setup. There was no movie—it was all a trap. Meanwhile, the main culprit walks free while an innocent man was sent to prison. That’s how I ended up in Kirikiri,” Baba Ijesha said.

He urged his fans to be cautious, adding, “Please, be careful with friends. They cannot always be trusted. The world is wicked, and humans can be more dangerous than venomous snakes.”
