Shake-Up In Kogi! Ododo Announces Cabinet Reshuffle
The Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the nomination of the immediate past state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Bello, as a commissioner-designate.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The announcement was made on Thursday in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Arike Ayoade.
According to the statement, the decision follows the resignation of the Commissioner for Works, Mohammed Yusuf.
Governor Ododo commended the outgoing commissioner for his contributions to the state and wished him well in his future pursuits.
As part of efforts to strengthen governance, the governor also approved a minor cabinet reshuffle.
In the reshuffle, Barrister Salami Ozigi Deedat was moved from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to the Ministry of Works.
The statement further confirmed Bello’s appointment, noting that he will be presented before the Kogi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
It added that the changes take immediate effect, reflecting the administration’s commitment to improving efficiency in governance.
