Sh*ck In Gombe: Security Guard Arrested For Murdering Government Worker At State House

The Nigeria Police Force in Gombe has arrested a 19-year-old casual watchman, Shuaibu Adamu, for allegedly killing a worker at the Government House.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The police spokesperson, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Saturday. He explained that authorities received a distress call around 3:50 p.m. on Friday, reporting a suspected case of culpable homicide within the Government House premises.

The victim, identified as Mallam Umar, a borehole operator, was found lifeless at the scene. “Preliminary investigations revealed that his trousers were tied around his neck, and a local intoxicant known as ‘rubber solution’ was found in his mouth,” Abdullahi said. The victim was rushed to the Specialist Hospital, Gombe, where he was pronounced dead and subsequently taken to the mortuary for autopsy.

Abdullahi added that the Commissioner of Police, Umar Chuso, visited the scene and ordered a full-scale investigation. CCTV footage later showed that the suspect, also known as ‘Yaya Mama,’ assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene.

A follow-up operation led to the suspect’s arrest at around 11:00 p.m. on Friday at Bagadaza Quarters, Gombe. The police confirmed that Adamu confessed during preliminary questioning and will remain in custody pending further investigations and prosecution. The command reassured the public of its commitment to maintaining safety and ensuring justice, especially within government facilities.
