This statement comes after earlier reports within the entertainment industry suggested that Allwell had died at the age of 43 following a heart attack at her home, before being rushed to the hospital.

Tributes from colleagues and friends in the film industry have continued to pour in since the news of her death.

In a statement released on Sunday and signed by Adeboyega Adebayo on behalf of the Ademola family, it was confirmed that the late actress passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

The family described Allwell as a proud member of the Ademola family from Ogun State and a great-granddaughter of the Alake of Egbaland, highlighting her lifelong dedication to the creative arts. They also expressed gratitude to her industry colleagues, friends, and well-wishers for their support during this difficult time.

Details of her burial arrangements will be communicated at a later date.
