However, Ogala, who has consistently voiced strong grievances against the pastor, insisted that his decision to step aside does not address the core issues she has raised—particularly the unresolved circumstances surrounding the death of her younger brother.

She maintained that neither an apology nor a temporary withdrawal from the pulpit can bring her closure, stressing that she wants clear answers about what happened to her brother and the pastor’s alleged role in the matter.

In an emotional video, Ogala said claims circulating online—that she should move on because the pastor apologised, married someone else, or stepped away briefly from church duties—were unacceptable.

“People have said he apologised, stepped down, detained me, sent my private photos, and that I should let it go. That doesn’t work for me,” she said. “Chris Okafor must explain what happened to my brother. Stepping down from the altar is not enough.”

She further alleged that her brother was poisoned and vowed to release evidence, including voice recordings and detailed accounts, to back her claims.

“I heard he stepped aside for just one month and handed over to his assistant, but that is not enough. He must explain his role in what happened to my brother,” she stated. “I have evidence—voice notes, recordings, and everything—and I will make them public.”

Ogala said forgiveness is impossible without truth and accountability, questioning whether any compensation could replace her brother’s life.

“This is only the beginning,” she added. “You will tell me what happened to my brother, what offence he committed, and why you went this far. Stepping down from the altar is not enough.”
