He spoke specifically about a report that falsely accused him of abusing his wife, actress Bamike “Bambam” Olawunmi, during an interview on the WithChude Podcast, which aired on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Teddy A described the allegation as the most painful story he had ever read about himself. He recalled that on the day he came across the report, his pregnant wife was at home, relaxed and watching a movie. Everything seemed normal until he noticed unusual notifications on his phone.

Confused, he checked social media and discovered that people were circulating a story claiming he had beaten his wife, including during her pregnancy. Both he and Bambam were shocked by the allegation. Teddy A recalled that his wife became emotional, repeatedly asking where the story had come from.

“I honestly didn’t know who started it,” he said. “Maybe it was an ex or someone from the village trying to target me.”

After discovering the story, he contacted his manager to seek advice on how to respond. He was advised not to react publicly and to let the story die down on its own. At the time, he followed this advice, choosing silence.

However, Teddy A later realized that staying quiet had lasting effects on his public image. The false claim continued to resurface in comment sections long after the initial report, even under unrelated posts. People kept questioning their relationship and repeating the allegation despite Bambam’s efforts to clear the air.

He explained that the false narrative misrepresented him and his marriage, shaping public perception in ways he never anticipated.

“When they said I was beating my wife, that was a lot. I went downstairs, and my wife was laughing, watching a movie, pregnant, everything seemed normal. Then I checked my phone and saw notifications going off. I hadn’t posted anything trending, so I wondered what was happening.

“As I went through the comments, my wife became emotional, asking who did this. I had no idea. I called my manager, who told me not to fuel the fire. At the time, I didn’t realize the damage staying silent would do to my reputation. Even now, when we post, people still ask if I’m sure I don’t beat my wife. It affected me because it made people see me in a way that wasn’t true.”
