Bello El-Rufai, a member of the House of Representatives and son of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, has responded to reports circulating on social media claiming he defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The allegation, which originated from an X user, suggested that the lawmaker had secretly registered with the ADC.
In his reaction, Bello El-Rufai dismissed the claim, saying the responses it generated reflected panic among some individuals. He expressed surprise at the reaction, noting that he would have expected APC members to welcome such a move if it were true.
He also stated that he has a strong track record in Kaduna North and believes his constituents continue to support him. According to him, his priority remains serving the people of Kaduna North while also focusing on his family responsibilities, including his father.
Writing on , he said: “But it seems they are panicking. I find it curious. I thought they will be glad I left. I guess they know very well my people are with me and our record is clear. In any case, my focus is Kaduna North and my father.”
