Tinubu Drops Full Ambassadorial Nominee List — Check Out Who Will Represent Your State

A letter requesting the confirmation of 34 career ambassadors, along with 31 non-career ambassadors and high commissioners, was presented to the Senate on Thursday. The correspondence was read during plenary by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Meanwhile, the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs has commenced screening, clearing the first three nominees. Among those screened are notable figures such as:

• Ambassador Ayo Oke – former Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and ex-Ambassador to the Commonwealth Secretariat

• Ambassador Amin Muhammad Dalhatu – veteran diplomat and former envoy to South Korea

• Lateef Kayode Are – one-time Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS)
