Walson-Jack described the programme as more than a welfare package, saying it reflects the administration’s broader belief that a well-supported civil service is essential to building a stronger Nigeria.

She also highlighted ongoing reforms to modernise the public sector, including efforts to create a digital, paperless, transparent and innovation-driven civil service.

Reaffirming her commitment to improving conditions for workers, she said the goal is to ensure civil servants are better supported with the skills, tools and institutional backing needed to reach their full potential.

The Head of Service added that the progress recorded so far has been driven by collaboration among key government institutions, including the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Budget Office, and the Office of the Accountant General. She urged ministries, departments and agencies to sustain that collaborative approach across all areas of governance.
