In Abia State, the grant distribution was overseen by the First Lady of the state, Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti, who described the support as a step toward ensuring dignity, inclusion, and empowerment for PWDs.

Chairman of the Abia State Disabilities Commission, David Anyaele, also commended the First Lady for supporting 250 beneficiaries, noting that the programme celebrates the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of PWDs.
In Ekiti State, the disbursement event was hosted at Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti, where the state’s First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, presented the grants.
“Our nation is stronger when everyone is empowered to contribute meaningfully. This programme reinforces the commitment that no Nigerian will be left behind,” she said.
Dr. Oyebanji highlighted that over the past two years, the Renewed Hope Initiative has assisted more than 100,000 women, small business owners and PWDs with direct financial support to expand their ventures.
Meanwhile, in Lafia, Nasarawa State First Lady, Silifat Abdullahi-Sule, handed out the grants and urged beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly to grow their businesses.
Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hauwa Jugbo, added that the support would help recapitalise small enterprises, improve livelihoods and strengthen social and economic inclusion.
