Tonto Dikeh Reveals Why She Fled After God Called Her Into Ministry

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she almost became a pastor at the age of 19 but ultimately walked away from that path.

The mother of one shared her story during a recent live interview with Stella Dimokokorkus.

She explained that her spiritual calling began in childhood, but she avoided it at the time because she felt God wanted her to experience life first. Dikeh said she had been active in church since leaving secondary school and had always felt a close connection to God.

According to her, the challenges and struggles she faced over the years were part of a divine plan designed to prepare her for a greater purpose. She added that many people might not have survived similar trials, and she believes God kept her alive for the work He intended her to do.

Dikeh revealed that her calling is centered on prayer and healing, and she may soon launch an online prayer platform if she receives clear guidance from God. She said she now focuses on letting God lead her daily, seeing herself as a tool in His hands.

The actress emphasized that her renewed faith is not motivated by money, fame, or the desire to improve her public image. Despite already enjoying wealth and comfort, she turned back to God to live fully and fulfill the assignment she believes He placed on her life.

She stressed that her journey is about survival and obedience, not profit, and has no intention of turning her spiritual work into a business.

Dikeh also spoke about past personal struggles with anger, smoking, alcohol, and other challenges, which she said God helped her overcome through faith and prayer.
