Davido made the revelation during a pre-concert reception held in his honor by Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, and the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, in Uyo on Sunday.
According to the “Feel It” crooner, Akwa Ibom topped the list when his team was searching for an ideal location in Africa to host the concert, describing the state as “beautiful in every way.”
He added that if other Nigerian states had similar infrastructure and hospitality as Akwa Ibom, he would gladly tour across the entire country.
Davido also praised Governor Eno for his developmental strides, especially his efforts in maintaining peace, ensuring security, and empowering the youth through various initiatives.
In his words:
“When we were searching across Africa, five locations came up, and Akwa Ibom was at the top of the list. Many people are flying in from other states that don’t have this kind of facility.
“I’m really excited — this Akwa Ibom tour is one of a kind. We’ve already toured America successfully, and when we looked for a good venue in Africa, Akwa Ibom stood out.
“You have a standard facility, and that’s why we’re starting here. As time goes on, we’ll visit other states. I’m thrilled to see the stadium already packed — let’s get ready to shut it down!”
