In a video shared on her Instagram page, Tonto alleged that the impersonator has been scamming her fans by soliciting money while posing as her online. She disclosed that security agencies are already tracking the suspect and warned that she would pursue the matter to its fullest legal extent once the person is apprehended.
According to Tonto, public pressure or social media backlash would not stop her from ensuring the impersonator faces jail time.
“I know my impersonator is a woman. We have been monitoring you, and the police are already on your trail,” she said.
Addressing the suspect directly, Tonto added that the individual had been stealing her content and reposting it on TikTok while falsely claiming to be her, not even as a fan page.
She warned, “When I catch you, nobody will be able to save you. Only Jesus can. Social media won’t make me back down — you will definitely go to jail.”
Meanwhile, the actress recently shared insights into her personal life, education, and career path in a separate video posted on her official Facebook page. In the candid message, she surprised many fans by revealing that she is professionally trained as a petrochemical engineer.
Tonto explained that she studied Petrochemical Engineering at Rivers State University, formerly Rivers State University of Science and Technology, noting that this aspect of her background has long existed in her biography but is often overlooked due to the focus on her acting career and public controversies.
