In a Facebook post on Monday, Prince Emmanuel declared that those responsible for what he described as the “unjust” sentencing of Nnamdi Kanu would soon face their own “inevitable reckoning.”
His statement comes amid ongoing social media reactions to Justice James Omotosho’s November 20, 2025, ruling, which sentenced Nnamdi Kanu to life imprisonment on terrorism-related charges.
He said, “Those praising evil and targeting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu through mockery and imprisonment will soon face inevitable reckoning. The same collective effort used to wrongfully convict him will be their undoing. Their foundations will fracture and collapse for all to see.”
Prince Emmanuel warned that anyone who manipulated the law for political purposes would not escape justice.
“Those attempting to exploit the law to imprison others will instead face relentless justice. Their schemes will backfire, and they will fall into the very trap they set, ensnared by superior laws,” he added.
Nnamdi Kanu is currently serving his sentence at Sokoto Prison after being convicted under the Terrorism Prevention Amendment Act of 2013.
His legal team, however, has challenged the ruling, arguing that it was based on a law that had already been repealed. They maintain that the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022 supersedes the previous legislation, rendering the conviction invalid.
