₦29 Billion Approved By Kano Government For Infrastructure Upgrades

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration in Kano State has allocated ₦29,064,181,673.65 for the implementation of crucial infrastructure projects aimed at advancing both social and physical development across the state. The decision was formalized during the recent State Executive Council Meeting, presided over by Governor Abba Yusuf. In addition to this allocation, the council has approved ₦239,536,859.21 for the construction of three rural roads in Ja’en Makera-Salanta Gudduba-Unguwar Baizangon Guliya and Fagoje-Kwanar Zuwo, spanning Gwale, Ajingi, and Kiru/Madobi LGAs. Furthermore, the procurement of 500 relief transformers, costing ₦7,123,750,000, has been authorized for distribution across the state’s 44 local government areas.

The council also sanctioned ₦6,400,000,000 for the 2024 Constituency Projects in Kano State. Other approvals include the construction of a 2-coat surface-dressed road in Gezawa LGA, procurement of vehicles for State Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), construction of rural roads under rural access and agricultural marketing projects, renovation of offices for the Anti-Phone Snatching Task Force Committee, repair of asphaltic surfacing, and additional works on crash barriers and street curbs.
