₦421 Billion Shared! Federal Government Reveals Massive Cash Transfer To Citizens

the initiative had recorded significant progress, with hundreds of billions already paid out to eligible beneficiaries.
He explained that only individuals listed in the National Social Register (NSR) qualified for the scheme, stressing that strict transparency measures were in place to ensure accountability.
“As of today, more than ₦421 billion has been transferred to Nigerians through the CCT,” Sununu stated. “To qualify, you must be part of the NSR, which currently contains over 18.9 million households. We also have the Rapid Response Register, which focuses on the most vulnerable groups.”
He noted that applicants must meet specific requirements verified by the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and the World Bank.
According to Sununu, all payments are made digitally, with funds deposited directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
