For the fifth consecutive year, the event was hosted by Trevor Noah, honoring a diverse lineup of artists across various genres.

A major highlight of the night was Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, winning the Best African Music Performance award for her hit single “Love Me JeJe.”

This marks Tems’ second Grammy win, following her first in 2023. Released on April 26, 2024, “Love Me JeJe” is a modern reimagining of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 classic, fusing Afrobeats with contemporary R&B influences.
