2027 Presidency Alert: Buhari’s Former Insider Sends Message To Peter Obi, ADC Supporters
Lauretta Onochie, a former media aide to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, has urged all opposition leaders within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to remain united ahead of the 2027 elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Onochie emphasized that the ADC will be stronger if its members work collectively, regardless of their previous political affiliations. She specifically highlighted former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his supporters, the Obidients.
She stressed that just as no other group that merged to form the ADC operates independently, the Obidient Movement should not act alone within the party.
“My understanding is that we are all now ADC, irrespective of our diverse backgrounds from APC, PDP, APGA, SDP, Obidient, Labour, Buhari Support Organizations, and others,” Onochie wrote on her official Facebook page on Sunday.
She added, “I believe that Mr. Peter Obi and the Obidient Movement know that we are #GreaterTogether. No group can succeed standing alone inside a union—none! Just as we are not operating as separate BSOs within ADC, the Obidient Movement is not expected to stand alone. We are all ONE. We have only one house, and that house is ADC. No ifs, no buts! ADC, Arise. AD and C, Arise And Shine Nigeria.”
Her statement comes after the Obidient Movement reaffirmed its position that it will only support Obi to secure the presidential ticket of the ADC, insisting it will not back him for a vice-presidential slot under any circumstance. The movement clarified its stance following reports attributed to its National Coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, which suggested it would remain in the party even if Obi fails to clinch the nomination.
