In a recent interview, he emphasized that the race remains wide open.
Galadima, a close ally of former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, stated on February 4, 2026, that controlling several states does not automatically secure a win at the national level. He urged Nigerians and the media not to assume that the ruling party has already clinched the next election.
He also criticized President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of acting above the law and raising concerns about how power is being exercised. Galadima stressed that no leader is beyond challenge and that Nigeria’s democracy must operate within legal boundaries.
On the role of the judiciary, the NNPP chieftain insisted that courts must be allowed to function independently, free from political pressure. He argued that the strength of democracy depends on impartial rulings and adherence to the rule of law.
Galadima also rejected claims that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is weak or finished. He expressed confidence that the PDP could return stronger and win the next presidential election if it fields the right candidate.
He cautioned against attempts to manipulate the electoral process, warning that such efforts would face resistance.
Concluding, Galadima predicted significant shifts in Nigeria’s political landscape as the 2027 elections approach. He declared, “Go and write it down that I said it. Is Tinubu God? Go and write it down that I say the PDP will win the next presidential election because it can bounce back with the right candidate.”
