“2027 Sh*ck: Datti Baba-Ahmed Reveals He Told Peter Obi to Pick A New Running Mate

He said the discussion took place on January 31, 2024, during which he suggested that Obi consider selecting a new running mate from prominent political figures such as Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Nasir El-Rufai, or any other suitable candidate.

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television, Baba-Ahmed stated that although he and Obi have differing political perspectives, he remains supportive of him. He noted that while their approaches are not fully aligned, his backing for Obi has not changed.

He further expressed his belief that their party won the 2023 presidential election, but said he was concerned that Obi did not take stronger action to pursue what he described as their mandate.

According to him, his comments were driven by a desire for honesty about their political differences and to offer strategic advice ahead of the next election cycle.

He said: “I was the one who told Obi on 31 January, 2024 that Kwankwaso, Nasir El-Rufai, or another person could be considered. As far as I am concerned, I will continue to support you, but our politics are different. You let go of 2023 that we won.”
