This comes after the Nigeria National Coalition Group (NCG) formally applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the registration of a new political party named the All Democratic Alliance (ADA).

The move triggered widespread speculation that political heavyweights such as Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, and others might adopt ADA as a joint platform ahead of the 2027 elections.

Reacting in a post on (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Olarenwaju expressed surprise at the media buzz, clarifying that ADA has not been endorsed as the coalition’s official party.

He emphasized that while a group is indeed working toward registering the party, coordination with the broader opposition coalition has not been finalized.

“ADA has not been adopted by the coalition,” he stated. “When the time is right, the public will be duly informed of the decisions and direction taken. For now, we ask for patience.”
