The Former Governor of Lagos State emerged victorious in the presidential election conducted by the electoral body, INEC, surpassing his nearest competitors, Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Rabiu Kwankwaso by a close margin. Although his victory is being challenged by the People’s Democratic Party and Labour Party in the presidential petition tribunals.

Deji Adeyanju highlighted while some presidential candidates are contending the victory and their supporters are wailing, Mr. President is already deciding on whom to pick as a successor in 2031.
“I have identified 4 Northerners Tinubu is likely to pick as successor. Tinubu is not Buhari who had no capacity to pick a successor. Some of you are still crying over the recent election but politicians are already planning 8yrs ahead”, he said.
As power shifts back to the North, particularly the North East, in 2031, online users have been speculating about the favored candidate of Tinubu. Netizens have engaged in discussions, considering several potential contenders, including Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Advisor, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President, El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of NNPP, and Babagana Zulum, the Governor of Borno State.
