In a recent development, operatives from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) stationed at the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Department in Kano State have detained a 35-year-old individual, Muhammad Munzali hailing from Kaura Gidan Damo, Shanono Local Government Area. Munzali was apprehended while attempting to gain unauthorized access to a female hostel.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, disclosed this in an official statement released on Friday, March 15, 2024.

According to Abdullahi, vigilant officers of the NSCDC captured the suspect at approximately 10 pm on Wednesday, March 13, as he was sneaking into the female hostel of Skyline University Nigeria, located along Sardauna Crescent, Nasarawa GRA, Kano.

Abdullahi further revealed that the individual had disguised himself in women’s clothing and was found in possession of local charms.

An ongoing investigation seeks to uncover the motive behind the suspect’s attempt to infiltrate the private university’s female hostel.

“The State Commandant, NSCDC Kano Command, Mohammed Falala, recently emphasized during a strategic meeting with management the need for officers and men of the command to exercise heightened vigilance,” Abdullahi added.

This development underscores the importance of continuous surveillance and proactive measures in safeguarding critical infrastructure and ensuring public safety.
