“The scourge of banditry and insurgency deeply impacts our lives, and its resolution demands sustained effort,” Sultan Abubakar remarked during his speech.

He underscored the commitment of regional traditional leaders to collaborate closely with security agencies and northern governors in tackling these threats effectively. The summit, he added, aims to generate actionable strategies that will minimize insurgency, allowing normalcy to return to people’s daily lives and businesses.

Among the attendees were Vice-President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, former President Muhammadu Buhari, governors from the seven north-western states, top military personnel, and the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun.
