Buratai made these remarks in Kuta, Osun State, on Sunday during the 60th birthday celebration of the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and ex-Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
He praised Olowu Kuta as a detribalized Nigerian who has shown love across all ethnic groups. Buratai challenged those pushing for disintegration to be prepared to create their own territory and take it to the ocean.
Highlighting the lessons learned from the civil war, Buratai emphasized that attempts to divide the country will ultimately fail and called for unity to foster Nigeria’s development.
