The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has officially announced the apprehension of Sulaiman Jimoh, alias Olowoidiogede, also known as Temo, a notorious drug dealer and kingpin. According to Babafemi, Temo had evaded capture for several years despite NDLEA’s efforts. The operation involved NDLEA operatives from the Lagos State Command, Special Monitoring Task Force, and other units dedicated to apprehending Temo, earning commendation from NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd).

The statement from NDLEA reads: “After years of evading arrest, 57-year-old Alhaji Sulaiman Jimoh, alias Olowoidiogede, popularly known as Temo, the mastermind behind the Mushin, Lagos drug cartel, was apprehended by NDLEA operatives at his stronghold after initial resistance from him and his associates.”

“In recent years, NDLEA had intercepted significant quantities of illicit drugs linked to Temo, including a seizure of 14,524.8 kilograms of Ghana Loud cannabis sativa smuggled from Ghana intercepted at Ojuelegba, Lagos in January 2024, among others.”

“Temo, known for his mobility and armed confrontations with law enforcement, attempted to escape in a Mercedes Benz SUV during the operation but was subdued by NDLEA’s surveillance teams and reinforced operatives.”

Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) praised the resilience and professionalism of NDLEA personnel involved, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to combating drug trafficking nationwide.

“This arrest sends a clear message to others involved in illicit drug trade that NDLEA is determined and equipped to bring them to justice,” Marwa stated.
