In a statement issued by Mohammed Mamman, the Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Buni reassured the public that security forces are on high alert and managing the situation effectively.

The statement reported that a young girl hawking water at the cattle market was injured when she accidentally stepped on one of the concealed IEDs. She sustained a leg injury but survived. The Governor has instructed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to ensure she receives medical treatment at the State University Teaching Hospital.

Buni emphasized that security personnel are diligently working on identifying suspects and their entry routes. He highlighted significant progress in the ongoing investigation and urged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
